Stories From The Road

From Grizzly Adams to Larry

So three months away from your home is a very long time. When we got home I don’t think we realized just how much we all needed some grooming, humans and pets. Poor Larry’s hair had gotten so long and curly and his beard so scraggly I hardly recognized him.

Luckily a new barber shop just opened up around the corner from where we live. It is small but very nice barbershop called Broadway Kutz. You know Larry and I we love to help out small businesses whenever we can. This shop is located in Swansea, IL off the main road Illinois St. in a little shopping plaza. The moment you walk in the entire room had the smell of new and clean.

Our Barber and I believe the owner was Dorian, a very nice young man. He was so patient listening to exactly what Larry was wanting. Some of things I noticed is that Dorian is hyper sensitive about sanitizing everything from his hands, to the scissors to the shears. Which in this day it is a real comfort to see.

Dorian took his time with Larry, and boy did he have a clean job to do today. But needless to say after about an hour there was not a hair out place on his beard, his hair and even his eyebrows. If you live local we cannot highly recommend this place enough. As if the service was not enough, but because today was Veterans Day. Larry also received all of his services at half off. That was a wonderful surprise. Please be sure to stop by and visit Broadway Kutz in Swansea, IL 62226.
