32 Truckers A Day is my newest baby, and I am so proud to announce my involvement in this amazing charity. This soon to be 501(c3) charity is the brainchild of myself, Candace and Lisa. Together, we did a lot of research to discover that on a daily average basis that 32 truckers a day contemplate or go through the act of committing suicide. This number is way to high, and a number we knew we wanted to lower.
Current Programs in Place.
The three of us work tirelessly trying to create programs that help drivers take their mind off the road, their work and missing their families and friends. From our Friday night game nights on TikTok every Friday night at 8pm Central. To our fun Wednesday night TikTok Shows as well. Currently we have our Truckers Chat Cook Off the last Wednesday of each month where truckers compete cooking their favorite recipes in their truck LIVE on TikTok. We are also getting ready to start Weightloss Wednesday for the first Wednesday’s of each month. Where Donnie Loman and Angela Baum will share healthy recipes, and tips and tricks to help us truckers start to live a healthier life over the road.
Truck Drivers we have helped so far.
Over the last few months we have already helped several truckers from helping to pay overdue bills, helping with groceries, or just listening to them through our Toll Free Hotline number. Here are just a small sample of where you donations have gone to so far, and where future donations will go to.
Toll Free Number
32 Truckers A Day has a 24 hour hotline that is manned by several truck drivers who volunteer their time. This allows truck drivers or their family members an opportunity to talk and vent with someone who is already in the same industry as them. If you would l.Ike to try out this hotline the toll Free numbers is 888-675-2565.
Helping Trucking Families In Need.
We strive to provide small financial assistance to families in need, when they’re a real emergency in their trucking families. In the last few months 32 Truckers has helped a family where they were in financial need due to medical problems. We stepped in and ordered groceries through Instacart and had $150 in groceries sent to their home to help offset immediate expenses.
In another case we helped out a few drivers who had sent all their checks home to their families but did not have any money for meals or showers throughout the week. Recently we helped out a female trucker who had fell onto hard times and had not ate in a few days. We send her money via Cash app and within a half hour she contacted us to let us know she went to get some lunchmeat, bread and staples to get her by. And at that very moment was eating for the first time in days. Which really helped not only her physical but also her mental health.
This week we did an online fundraiser through Tiktok and were able to raise over $700 which we split with two families in need. For the first family we helped SpicyTrucker a female team trucker who is currently fighting Leukemia. Our second family we paid their electric bill to help end their disconnect notice, we also sent the trucker husband money for food to get by for the week. Then we split the $700 in half with this family as well.
We rely solely on donations to help these truck drivers and their families out. To learn more about our organization please visit our links below.
